THROUGH THE WILDERNESS

Many Christians around the globe are wrongly made to believe that if they serve God wholeheartedly, it is going to be bed of roses all the way and today I am here to tell you that in this journey there are beds of thorns too! Some preachers make you believe that walking with the Lord is like easy peasy but Let me tell you how walking with the Lord in my experience is: It is like walking on a high tension wire with current flowing through it in high voltage, trying to get your balance and still trusting God not to be electrocuted!

The Christian journey in a crooked and perverse generation like this, is not easy in any way. There are trials, troubles, persecution, people calling you names, sin is the new trend and living a Godly life means being an object of mockery, people’s hearts are full of iniquity, wickedness everywhere; but being able to find peace in a world full of sorrow is definitely part of the Christian walk.

Are there times however, that you feel like throwing in the towel? You feel like God is so far away? Like “does he even care?” Are there times you sit and wonder where your next meal is coming from? If you will ever be the person you’ve always dreamed of becoming? Times when you wonder where the road is leading to? Are there times you feel like there are people everywhere yet you feel alone? Or that people just don’t understand the pain you are going through? Oh well, you see to purify gold it goes through the hottest fire to be refined. You are in the refining process if you ever feel like this.

I know the feeling is tough and you wish God would hasten everything so it will be over and done with but let me tell you this: a pregnant woman cannot be pressured into delivery before it is time! If she tries it before 9months, the is born premature or even dies but at 9 months comes a fully formed and healthy baby and if you ask her, she will tell you IT WAS WORTH IT ALL! Stay strong and do not pray for God to level your mountain but to give you strength to climb for God knows the way through the wilderness and all you have to do is to follow!

Keep an eye here as there will be a new post on Wednesday!!

  2. Well said dear.. Sometimes it’s really hard when you expect God to answer a prayer but says no or delay the answer. Let’s keep the faith and continue to trust him, the journey is worth him. We are serving a living God
