TWICE YOU ARE MINE

IMG_2172

A little boy made a wooden boat, he took his time and carved it out of a piece of wood. He then took it to the river to try his beautifully made work of art but unfortunately the boat sailed away and the little boy could not retrieve it. He was so sad. And then one beautiful morning, he saw the boat in a second-hand shop in the little village he lived. The little boy saved up all his pennies until he had enough, he went to the shop and paid for the little boat he made and he was so happy. As he stepped out of the shop, he hugged the boat tight and with a big smile whispered to it “you are twice mine, I made you and I bought you!”

You see, this is what God did for us. God made us, in His image and likeness he created us but our sin/mistakes separated us from Him. Like the little boy God was so sad he lost us to sin. He had to do something, something sacrificial just like the little boy struggling and saving up money to buy back his boat. God sent His beloved son to die for us, even death on the cross! So that by this singular act of selfless love we are redeemed and God bought us back! He died on the cross with His arms wide open, it still is today and he wants to give you a big hug and whisper in your ear “twice you are mine, I made you and I bought you” YOU ARE NOT A MISTAKE, YOU HAVE A PURPOSE!

In one of the books I am currently reading by Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer “Praying for your future husband” Robin wrote “You are the God that buys me back. Anytime I go to the marketplace and sell myself to a lie, you show up with a fistful of truth and buy me back”. What an awesome God we serve! Do not believe the lies of Lucifer, you are a masterpiece and never a photocopy!

FASHION TODAY: So Autumn officially begins in the UK on the 22nd of September so I decided that my Autumn will start with  colours. Who does not like colour? I love this dusty pink suit I got from my go to store of all times Asos. I paired that my newlook Nude courts and lovely green bag I got ages ago on Asos as well. I know you are wondering why I will wear dusty pink and nude together, oh well some risks are involved in fashion if you wanna stand out. And also, my favourite thing to do when I am not busy is play dress up and pair all the items that match together for my photo shoot or to church.

My number one shopping rule is to check if I can wear an outfit to church because if I can, then I can dress it down to suit any other occasion. Number two is if I can style it differently, if I answer No to any of this two questions, the item doesn’t make it to my basket. It is wise to keep restyling a few of your wardrobe else you end up with an excessively massive wardrobe you can only wear a certain way. Enough said already, I used this my TK Maxx top which I wore to Madame Tussaud remember? I used the green bag to bring more colour to the dressing and the nude blended everything for me.

What I am wearing Jacket: Here, options Here, Trouser: Here, Options Here, Heels: Here, Top: Wanted to use this top instead Here, Bag: Here, Jewelries: from H and M, Newlook and River Island.

In subsequent posts (next 4 I think) we’ll have an interesting series titled “The Christian Youth” I will write the first three and we will have a Man discuss the last part of the series with a touch of ‘male’ fashion. I hope you will enjoy the series as much as I enjoy writing it.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

  1. Love the story its such a reminder how God bought us back by sending his only begotten Son to die on the cross for us. His love is never failing and I know I am not a mistake God have a purpose for me and I will hold on to that promise. I am bought by my precious Father and Satan have no ownership anymore.
